Evanston Gardens Primary School is la small rural school ocated in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. Evanston Gardens Primary School has, currently, 130 students and is adjacent to Gawler, South Australia, with a rich 98 year old history.
Our school has beautiful grounds with plenty of space for outdoor play and sporting activites.
Evanston Gardens Primary School has a friendly, settled, experienced group of teachers and school support officers who bring a diverse knowledge and experience in various specialised curriculum areas i.e. Physical Education, Music, Graphic Arts, Outdoor Education, Choir.
Our school carefully analyses the learning needs of students so as to provide a curriculum that is relevant and interesting. We have a focussed Literacy Block in the mornings with many of our students achieving excellent results. Teacher are now looking forward to developing a similar focussed Numeracy Block throughout 2006.
Student Wellbeing is a focus with various Social Programs (eg Program Achieve, Bounce Back) being taught. our School Counsellor works with groups and individuals to develop positive behaviours in line with our values. Evanston Gardens Primary School staff and children have the right to be happy, safe and clean. The right to learn and the right to teach. At Evanston Gardens Primary School, we acknowledge and respect students' ability to make appropriate choices of behaviour.
